An integral part of my doula work is facilitating deep healing. As an Ayurvedic doula, I help postpartum mothers heal through nourishment, self care and rest

A postpartum doula is focused on mother baby care- whatever that means for you
In my work as a doula, I have shared information on newborn sleep, taught mothers how to baby wear, helped establish a proper breastfeeding latch and eased worries about what’s “normal” in this sacred window of time. I’ve also prepared meals, sanitized bottles, vacuumed the house before in-laws visit, and picked up older children from school. I’ve comforted women as they cry about the overwhelm of it all and laugh with them during baby’s first bath.
Postpartum can be full of high highs and low lows. My role is to tend to all of your needs as your family transitions and transforms. My purpose is supporting women and children while guiding women to trust their intuitive nature of mothering.

In this private class, you will learn how to establish routines for you and baby, what types of foods to prioritize in your diet, and what herbs support perineal healing and lactation. I will also help you understand the common and uncommon aspects of the postpartum recovery process, how to set boundaries with family members and how to navigate the shifts all families experience as they grow. Of course, we’ll review some self care measures to practice too. At the end of the class, you’ll feel prepared for postpartum and have less things to think about, so you can focus on relaxing as you prepare for birth and then bonding with your newborn once they arrive.

No matter how early your loss was through miscarriage or if you experienced stillbirth, you still postpartum. This offering consists of emotional processing, yoga and meditation, meal and herbal preparation and body work to help you heal and recover during this tender time of grief
